Persianfootball.com – SAN JOSE, Steven Beitashour was honored by Leland High School where his jersey was retired in a ceremony.

January 15, Leland High Stadium field was the venue for a ceremony that was held at 5pm prior to Leland v Oak Grove varsity game at 5:15pm. In this ceremony, former Leland High student Iranian International Steven Beitashour was recognized for his accomplishments in the field of soccer. He had his jersey #3 retired for good, no other former graduate from Leland reached the soccer career heights of Beitashour.

Steven had represented the MLS All Star team in 2012 and in October 2013 made his debut for Team Melli, which he has a total of 3 caps so far. Beitashour is set to be part of Iran national football team’s squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
