Tasnim – DOHA, Hettikamkanamge Dilan Perera has been chosen to officiate the first leg of the AFC Champions League semi-final between Al Sadd of Qatar and Iran’s Persepolis.

The match will be held in Doha’s Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday.

Dilan Perera, 40, has been a full international for FIFA since 2004. He refereed some matches in AFC Champions League.

He will be assisted by his two compatriots in this match.

Al Sadd and Persepolis met in the AFC Champions League for the very first time in this year’s group stages. Both sides won their respective home games.

Al Sadd has reached the AFC Champions League semi-final for the second time after 2011, when it eventually went on to win the competition.

Persepolis has reached the semi-final for the second time in its history and the second time in a row after 2017.
