U19 thrashes Tajikistan to win group [PHOTOS]

PFDC – SAINT PETERSBURG, Iran’s U19 continues to impress in the Commonwealth Cup of Independent Nations in Saint Petersburg, thrashing Tajikistan 5-0 and qualifying for the quarterfinal stage as group winners.

Man of the match was Sardar Azmoun, the youngest player of the tournament, scoring a hattrick and increasing his goal tally to four goals in three matches.

Behnam Barzan and Farshid Esmail scored the further goals for Iran, who will now take on Latvia’s U21 in quarterfinals on Wednesday afternoon.
