Tehran Times – AHVAZ, Esteghlal striker Mohammad Ghazi has terminated his contract with Tehran’s Esteghlal to join Foolad on a six- month-deal on Tuesday.

Ghazi, who has previously played for Esteghlal arch-rivals Persepolis, scored 16 goals in 55 appearances in one and a half season with the blue jersey.

He had also offers from Padideh and Persepolis but decided to re-join the club where he made a name for himself during 2008-09 season.

Foolad also signed Mohsen Mosalman from Zob Ahan until the end of the season.

Mosalman was very close to join Esteghlal but Zob Ahan didn’t accept the Blues’ financial bid.

Title contender Foolad is currently in fourth place with 31 points, two points behind table toppers Naft.
