Stop making all kinds of excuses. We are talking about Jahanbakhsh, whose performances thus far have been below anything acceptable quality wise for the Premier League.Originally posted by diz View PostAnd that's because BHA has been getting amazing results with their current line up? Please, CH is using the same exact formula and hoping for a different result.

Meaningless stat.Originally posted by pdot View PostSure, but Jahanbakhsh doesn't deserve to start or come on over the other options.
11 games, 0 goals, 0 assists.
In the Premiership:
Only 4 games started. 7 Substitutions.
462 minutes.
Not counting his starts, his average play time is less than 15 minutes.

He's started 4 games! 4 GAMES in the entire premiership!Originally posted by Kas-r View PostThat doesn't take away the fact that JB has been a huge disappointment for Brighton, and his performances have been below par. His coach has been a huge fan of him, but anyone outside the club of Iranian fanboys sees that JB has forgotten how to play basic football. He couldn't even shine in the Asian Cup, which quality wise is utter crap.
If fans are judging him by that then they're idiots.

I would argue that BHA's performance has been below quality for the Premier League. Their service to ARJ (when he's finally in the game) has been atrocious. Bottom line, if you're going to bench your biggest signing, don't expect him to be your star with sporadic minutes/starts here and there.Originally posted by Kas-r View PostStop making all kinds of excuses. Statistically so far Jahanbakhsh is worse than two other options they have. That's a fact.Originally posted by diz View PostAnd that's because BHA has been getting amazing results with their current line up? Please, CH is using the same exact formula and hoping for a different result.
Anthony Knockaert - 21 games - 1 goal 5 assists
JosΓ© Izquierdo - 9 games - 2 assists
Alireza Jahanbakhsh - 11 games - 0 goals 0 assists

Your stats are misleading. You have to compare starts to starts and subs to subs. ARJ has not started in all these 11 games.Originally posted by pdot View PostStatistically so far Jahanbakhsh is worse than two other options they have. That's a fact.

And you don't think Chris Hughton, who himself has been a fan of Jahanbakhsh and instrumental for his transfer to the club, doesn't see him playing everyday during training sessions? The Premier League is a tough competition. Those with weak feets will not get that many opportunities to impress and cement their starting position. Jahanbakhsh seems to lack both quality and mentality to do good in England, which some of us already predicted due to his playing style.Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostMeaningless stat.

He's been given way less chances. Give him a few starts and see what happens. He could have had several assists as well by now if the Brighton players could finish.

So you took out the 191 minutes in FA cup and 90 minutes in EFL cup? Yeah lets foget those games because why?Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostMeaningless stat.

Then why sign him? If he was not EPL quality, shouldn't CH have recognized that watching him in Eredivisie? Why waste everyone's time then? Either play the man, or release him to a team that will.Originally posted by Kas-r View PostAnd you don't think Chris Hughton, who himself has been a fan of Jahnabkahsh and instrumental for his transfer to the club, doesn't see him playing everyday during training sessions? Less chances because he was injured or out in AFC cup. Furthermore why do you all ignore the times he has had to show something in FA cup or EFL?Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostKnocakert 12 (9) - 1202 minutes in the Premiership

2 games in FA Cup, 1 in EFL Cup and 1 on Premier League 2. He sucked against inferior opposition in all those competitions.

Stop whining. In the end, you are nothing more than a fanboy with a ethnic bias to see him playing and do good. There are people at Brighton who work with him everyday and know what they are talking about.Originally posted by Nokhodi View PostKnocakert 12 (9) - 1202 minutes in the Premiership

He gives the other Dutch kids way more chances. Locadia (who has complained publicly about lack of playing time) and Proper. They play horribly (Propper scored his first goal today) yet they are given more chances.Originally posted by Kas-r View PostAnd you don't think Chris Hughton, who himself has been a fan of Jahanbakhsh and instrumental for his transfer to the club, doesn't see him playing everyday during training sessions? Its bullshit. This babying him into the league style Hughton has doesn't' work.
