You literally don't give him an ounce of credit for anything. Or point out any extenuating circumstances. Everything is his fault. I can admit his faults: overly emotional with referees, holds grudges, sometimes has bad lineups, and comes off as overly paranoid. But I can also point out the success he had with TM too. If you don't see any of that, there is no point in even continuing a discussion.

A self proclaimed top 10 coach who couldn't do better than his predecessors while simultaneously making us play the ugliest football there is, deserves a big kick in the ass, not a contract extension ffs.

If we give CQ another long contract, the best result that will come from it is scouting young talented players. That is probably his top attribute. It will lead to another solid generation of players to work with

The key for TM coach is to have a strong personality and GN has that. Those who didn't faltered: Skocic, Branko in 2006 being the top of the list.

So what did CQ revitalize again?! Please you are too old to be a fan girl. Anyone with a little bit knowledge about Iranian football knows if anything CQ's record with TM is sub par! All you have to do is google Iran national team record and see that Iran more or less has always produced good players, has always performed more or less the same as now. Unless you want to tell us that CQ qualifying as one of two teams in a group of five with Iran in a group that did not have Saudi or two other traditional powers in it is something above our football.

Everyone of those coaches is better than CQ. CQ loses by default. By disqualification. By failing more than any other coach he is disqualified. Anyone of those coaches is better than CQ just by the very simple fact that they are a breath of fresh air. Remember even water stagnant for too long it becomes lajan. Branko is proven to be better than CQ. Stats are stats. I know you prefer Bademjoon but winning our last continental title, qualifying us to a world cup, getting a bronze in Asian cup, winning 5 titles with Perspolis, having a higher winning percentage in TM, Taking a Perspolis with a two year transfer ban to an ACL final...all speak volumes. On top of it you look at countries they both have coached in and you will see more failures for CQ while you will see more titles for Branko. Stop being a bademjoon and listen to numbers.

I would love to se a combo of CQ and Daei work together with long term plan that Daei taking over for wc 2026 qualifiers and CQ moving to estili role for that WC. Would probably be optimal in all wayz for our football, from talentspotting, coaching to playing style.

Daei + CQ combo would definately benefit our talentspotting and upcoming generationswitch. Daei has a proven good eye for talentspotting (CQ aswell).

In reality we missed 3 spots. He took 4 goalies lol. Not to mention the guys he took and we all knew would not get a chance. Players like Amiri, Shoja.. I am certain he took then just to say he is not holding grudges while he actually was. It would have been great if we had a few more forwards to at least replace the injured Azmoun or come in the dying minutes when we are desperate for a goal.

Ghalenoei would be the worst possible hire... No way TM players would take him serious

Ghalenoi is such an upgrade on CQ. For so so many reasons from cultural to Iran football knowledge. The knowledge about Iranian football was always CQ's down fall. We should at least learn from our 14 years or so under him that we absolutely cannot have a coach who has a low view of our football. Respect for our football is a must. Otherwise we will always sit deep against most opposition and hope for something out of the game. Sit back against a team like U.S and wait for them to tire themselves out instead of dictating our football to them. Ghalenoi should not make the same mistake as Skocic and immediately kick out all the old CQ faithful, and if Taremi even says one word show him the door. I anticipate the list of players will change drastically with Ghalenoi coming on which is waaaaaay over due.
