Roberto Martinez has Scottish wife, so I don't see him accept the job unless he comes to Iran on his own, but then he would need to travel back and forth between Iran and Belgium.

Not every coach can be successful in Iran or tolerate working and living in Iran.

Portuguese and Croatians seem to be successful in Iran, also can tolerate working and living in Iran. That's why I strongly recommend they hire Bento.

Shafer is a globetrotter and very worldly. He has lived in many Asian and African countries. He did pretty good as Esteghlal coach. So in my opinion he is the only German who can survive working in Iran and might even be successful.

Honestly not much difference between him and CQ at this point. Both are behind in terms of modern football.

Some people on here talk too much without thinking …. remember CQ came in and we had two World Cup back to back without any issue , very easy qualifying campaign, before that we used to even struggle just to qualify for world cups remember that everybody?

I think we go for someone in Asia given we are planning for AC. Moryashi of Japan, Halilhodzic who coached Japan before Moryashi, Renard are all good options. Realistically I don't think any would come to Iran...so why not someone like Berdyev who now has some experience working in Iran?

Halilhodzic always manages to get fired before WC, too much drama lol.
Berdyev didn’t do anything significant with Tractor, and is a big no for me.
