IMHO, Team "Melli" players have a moral obligation, at the very least, to represent their own people in the face of injustice.

I know it is a lot to ask, not easy to do, and there will be consequences if they do. That is why the likes of Nasser Hejazi are heroes, and some in the past or present are not.

The truth is, IFF is not an autonomous sport federation, and it is corrupt, as it is directly run by the government.

I’ve never believed they have any obligation except to play well.
Still they do good things for people all the time.
TM as a collective has too many components for them to do everything we want.

Sorry buddy your logic is flawed. Then tell me if none of these protests, movements matter, then why does IRI spend millions and millions of dollars in propaganda by busing in and flying in their supporters to the games in Qatar? Putting restrictions on fans, preventing reporters from gaining access to the stadium etc. So you can't say it does not matter. It does matter.

North Korea, Russia, China, etc. all do the same. Every autocrat regime does these things to control their own narrative. How many are on the verge of revolution? Your logic is the one actually flawed. Propaganda is something every country does, thinking because IR does everything in their power to seek control actually proves my point. They are still capable of controlling these things that happen outside of Iran to the point that the Masih Alinejads of the world are essentially powerless. I’d love for you to be right, but you’re not, IR is fully entrenched and barring Masih suiting up in armor and going back to fight, these guys have a death grip on the country. People who say “it’s uneasy, they’re gonna fall any day”! USA bombed, they’re gonna fall any day!” I’ve been hearing this since 30 years ago.

It’s like thoughts and prayers, all the hopes and prayers and curses at our players that you all do are powerless and I’m so sorry. I wish they mattered, but our leaders I’m sure have been cursed billions of times over from afar and they will outlive me who is half their age. You can keep protesting TM, but again, it accomplishes nothing and if you think IR wants people fervently supporting TM, they would do more to create a strong TM instead of shipping in actors like you’re saying. It’s all about control, and they control every detail of our hamvatan’s life. They’ve purposely killed the love for TM and created the team mollah stuff to kill the intense love for the team. I’m convinced of that. They’re in control of everything and do so much propaganda, why are they not then doing what they can to make Iranians actually support TM instead of where the support is now if that’s the case? I just don’t think there’s any logic that IR wants people to love TM. If your logic is that they want people to support TM as propaganda, can you answer me why they need to ship in phony fans knowing it pisses off and alienates so much of the population. These things just don’t add up. It’s all about control.
