Tehran Times – AMIENS, Iran international attacking midfielder Saman Ghoddos underwent surgery for acute appendicitis on Thursday and will be sidelined for at least five weeks.

Ghoddos, who joined Amiens SC in the summer, has played 23 matches and scored three goals this season in Ligue 1, French newspaper L’Equipe reported.

The 25-year-old player was a member of Iran national football team in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Amiens SC sit 17th in the Ligue 1, nine points above the relegation zone.
