Tehran Times – TEHRAN, Iranian football club Persepolis have reportedly reached an agreement with Croat striker Mario Budimir.

Budimir, 32, will replace Godwin Mensha, who has been deemed as surplus to requirements in January.

The Nigerian forward has netted just two goals in the current season and has reached 1,000 minutes without scoring for Persepolis.

Budimir, who most recently played at Dinamo Zagreb, will reportedly finalize his contract with Persepolis in the next few days.

Persepolis served transfer ban in the last two windows and now are allowed to sign new player.

The Iranian giants, who finished runners-up in the 2018 AFC Champions League, are going to strengthen for new season.

Persepolis are pitted against Qatar’s Al Sadd and Al Ahli of Saudi Arabia in Group D, while they want to win Iran Professional League for the third successive year.
