Tasnim – RASHT, Ali Karimi is on the brink of parting company with Iranian football club Sepidrood Rasht.

The ex-Bayern Munich and Persepolis midfielder was appointed as coach of the Iranian top-flight football team in January and saved the struggling team from relegation.

Debutants Sepidrood finished in 13th place last season six points above the Iranian Professional League relegation zone.

Iranian media reports suggest that Sepidrood club owners and Karimi have not reached an agreement to continue their cooperation.

According to IRNA, Karimi has two years remaining on his contract but he has accepted to bring an end to his career in the Rasht-based football club.
