Carlos Queiroz: I will select the most courageous 23

Loading...Persianfootball.com – TEHRAN, Carlos Queiroz, the head coach of Iranian national football team, announced the first stage of preparation is completed and Team Melli camps so far served their purpose.
“We are all trying very hard to succeed in Brazil and to present Iran to the best of our abilities. That’s why we need all the support that we can get”, Queiroz is quoted by Iranian media.
“I am happy with the players, they are hard workers, courageous, follow my direction with respect and people of Iran should be proud of them and fully support them”, the Portuguese added.
“I have selected 28 brave Iranians who put the interest of their country ahead of their own and for that we all must respect them. This makes so difficult for me to select the final 23.
“Now that I must eliminate five of them I have nightmares on how to select the final 23”, Queiroz said.
“Although it is very hard for me, I must talk to those five players in person and tell them exactly why they will not be part of the final squad.
“I wish I could change the rules and take all of them to Brazil”, said Iran’s head coach.
“I can teach my players technical and tactical aspects of the game but I can not give them experience in such a short time. I need players with experience, courage, strong physis and mental presence that will fight for Iran with the best of their abilities”, Queiroz concluded.
