dejagah_fulhamPFDC – WEST BROMWICH, Fulham FC had a perfect start into 2013, finally finding back to winning ways with a somewhat lucky 2-1 away win over West Bromwich Albion.

Martin Jol’s men had a solid first half in which Dimitar Berbativ first failed to put the visitors in front after being inscened by Iranian international Ashkan Dejagah.

But shortly before halftime Dejagah, who started on the right wing for the fourth consecutive time and played good 90 minutes, was sent through on the flank by Berbatov.

The former Hertha Berlin and Vfl Wolfsburg man penetrated the box, dribbled past his marker and played the ball into the path of Berbativ, who scored from the edge of the area.

The hosts equalized through Lukaku early in second half and a shocked Fulham side were lucky when being saved by the woodwork, the keeper and a defender on the line in the following minutes.

Completely against the run of play Fulham restored the lead through Kacaniklic.

West Bromwich pressed for the equalizer, but Fulham, with luck and some clever play held on to the lead which at least temporarily secured the 13th position of the Premier League for them.
