AFC – Kuala Lumpur, An AFC Vision Asia (VA) team will visit Iran from October 4 to 12, 2010 to help improve the level of football in the country through the VA programme.

The team will first make pre-assessment visits to Zanjan and Khouzestan Football Associations on October 5 to explain AFC Vision Asia policies and programmes as preparation for the Assessment Visit which may take place late this year.

From October 7 to 9, the team will visit Ardabil to assess the current situation of football there. This will be followed by the development of the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) the province.

On October 11, the team is scheduled to have a meeting with the Iran Football Federation to discuss several topics about Vision Iran, including the role of the Vision Iran Coordinator.

Vision Asia is AFC’s plan to raise the standard of football across the continent at all levels.

The core elements of the programme are FA Governance, Clubs and Competitions, Coach Education, Referee Education and Grassroots and Youth.
