Goleij is 97 kg Ghasempour is 92!
So he need to move weight up!
It is challenging, specially for first time in such a major tournament

he wrestled snyder at 97 in WC and lost bad but was clearly not ready weight wise.

Ghassempour, if he can physically make it to 97 (which Dabir says is more realistic than going back down to 86) is of course a better wrestler than goleij. IF he beats him in entekhabi he could pull off serious upsets.

It doesn't change individually if Russian are out or not! Their athletes will compete under another flag!
Honestly wrestling and other federation should stop allowing athletes changing nationality that easy! Without even living in country for few years even!

imo issue is nature of the sport. You can only send 1 guy in olympics, even if internationally your country has 3 guys who would be top 10 in that weight class. Imagine if we sent both hassan and kamran at 86. In other sports like swimming or track and field this is not the case.

As a result you could have incredible athletes who never even see an olympics, maybe just occasional world championship. Thats not fair either.

Tazhudinov would never have made it in russia until sadulaev retired, and maybe would have missed his entire prime. Instead he competes under a different flag and got chance to wrestle sadulaev and shock the world at age 20!
