Dake is a phenomenal wrestler. He keeps getting better with age. Emami just couldn’t close the distance with the underhooks. You can’t give the Americans space. That’s when they do their best work.

Without Sidakov at the Olympics, the path was always very clear for Dake.

It starts 19:30 officially, which makes it 10:30 PST. But its only a rough approx so be sure to start watching a bit earlier.

Our mazandarani pahlevoons need to learn to start shooting. I know its not the mazendarani style ATM. But they need to start doing complementary programs learning how to shoot. There are some serious mazani shooters out there like ghassempour. Make the dude train with ghassempour day in and out!

Then we have elbow controlling: Wrestling league in iran should invite ossetians with good slide bys and phenomenal elbow controlling and heavy collar ties. Also ossetians have heavy hands which we need to learn having from them.

If we want more than two olympic golds this should be top priority.

I completely agree with you PEJ that Emami got outwrestled. My issue with federation giving up this weight class is that we never seem to have any plan B when hitting a wall in fights causing enormous match up problems for us. It has really gotten on my nerves these last 10 years.

If he wouldve learning to shoot good he would be invited to clinching with Dake. This is completely on the guys running our federation

For example in 86 kg I am confident that ghassempour wouldve outwrestled David Taylor.

Amouzad has beaten all the good guys in good fashion. He narrowly lost to fake hungarian dagestani in last worlds. He should not be afraid of this dude. He has beaten him convincingly before.

The reason that hungarian dagestani mat fleeing guy won was that amouzad was up 5-4 and he kept it narrow. Then with 20 seconds left amouzad started stalling the wrong way. Instead of stalling in the underhook and press for his life he tried to keep distance and mat fleing dagestani got one lucky shot with 5 seconds left. 100 percent sure he thought he had won the fight. Dagestani is in his right when he is terrified of zir giri va pitche kamar zadane Amouzad. He didnt lower his stance with 14 seconds left seeing the shot from dagestani. Amouzad panicked and didnt lower his stance going in for clinch, sprawl or even better moving out the way.

These mistakes are basic and easy to figure out and learn. IF Amouzad hasn't learned anything from that encounter, then he has NO business even thinking of a medal and we have to say thank you and move on.

I can guarantee you that it is the dagestani that is shitting bricks, not otherwise. If Amouzad is either arrogant or shitting bricks, then he doesnt have the mental fortitude for this level of sports. I know this is not the case, but he can't go negotiate with himself putting himself in a bad mental place. And if he does let this unfortunate encounter get into his head federation have to find a replacement for him or put up with it.
