You just can’t take a 17 year old kid that has been playing good for the Aussie league for 6 months to the WC, it doesn’t work like that. The Australians are just desperate. If he was more patient I’m sure he would have made it to the Asian Cup with us.Originally posted by Hoorad View PostI mean he still offered us a chance to consider to call him up, but CQ choose the dumb route. Hopefully this won't come back and haunt us if he joins a good club and we regret.

The idea was to lock him, not play him. Many of CQ choosen players aren't even going to play.Originally posted by Mr Pouya View PostYou just can’t take a 17 year old kid that has been playing good for the Aussie league for 6 months to the WC, it doesn’t work like that. I’m pretty certain his dad persuaded him to choose Australia over Iran. He has picked English names for his kids ( Ben and Daniel) and their group of friends are exclusively Australians. I know Daniel is an adult and all that, but when one your parents pressure you to make a choice then we can’t really blame him for it.Originally posted by irani8perspolis View PostHe was born in Khorramabad and lived in Iran until he was 7. Longer than many of us thought, makes me dislike him even more that he lived in Iran for his first 7 years and turns his back on the country in which he is from.
If he had been born and lived in Australia all his life I think it would have been much easier to accept.

Before judging this kid, do we know what his parents situation is with the Iranian government? What if the dad is persona non grata in Iran? What if the dad is. Baha’i or some other minority in Iran that gets persecuted?
Trust me there are many Iranians who can not go back to Iran for some reason or the other. Let’s just let it be and leave the kid alone. You don’t have to root for him, but the hate is just ridiculous.

Glad this cheap guy wasnt even considered to be invited to the National team
He went licking the shoes of the australians and talked very snobby about joining Iran as if we cared for his presence
Arzan=cheap in farsi
The guy is both cheap in name and personality
Also I doubt in play he can match any of our third division players
چو ایران نباشد تن من مباد

That logic is also contradicting when you use it on M. Hosseini, Gholizadeh, etc... Also he is 19, not 17.Originally posted by Mr Pouya View PostYou just can’t take a 17 year old kid that has been playing good for the Aussie league for 6 months to the WC, it doesn’t work like that. I think ur probably right. I might even suggest his dad converted to Christianity, which is a very good and popular case to get quick citizenship in Australia. This also explains all the Christian names he has given himself and his kids.Originally posted by PEJ View PostBefore judging this kid, do we know what his parents situation is with the Iranian government? So maybe he didn’t have a choice but to represent Australia.

Shows the differences in our Farhang, plus most of these people grew up in foreign countries which is even more sadder because Iranians from Iran actually are congratulating him for choosing Australia and are respecting him on Instagram.Originally posted by Zamboor View PostI find it funny how Sweden is updating everyone on Ghoddos even though he choose to play for Iran and people arent even mad about it but respect his choice.

I don't know why people are making it so complicated. The reason he chose Australia is very simple: they offered him a chance to be on their World Cup squad while we didn't. All this talk about gheyrat or national allegiance or family pressure or political issues is nonsense. Have CQ offer him a starting position in TM for the World Cup and see how quickly he will say that he has always felt Iranian.I went to Sharif University. I'm a superior genetic mutation, an improvement on the existing mediocre stock.

Lot of iranians in Iran love foreign countries much more than their own one. Just see all the cars/trucks with Germany, Italy, France stickers, people wearing Germany, Spain NT jersey, TM players celebrating CL success of players they are going to face in two weeks.Originally posted by Hoorad View PostShows the differences in our Farhang, plus most of these people grew up in foreign countries which is even more sadder because Iranians from Iran actually are congratulating him for choosing Australia and are respecting him on Instagram.
