Football federation, for past several years been struggling to bring teams to Iran. That's why they keep bringing Syria. Team Melli faced Syria when Wilmots and Skocic were coaches. Now they it's Queiroz's turn.

No one wants to come to Iran. Kuwait and Oman refused. Who knows maybe Lebanon, Palestine, Yemen refused too. Media reported that they are talking to Qatar and China.

It's one article (an opinion piece) in a British paper, and then a letter a group led by a guy named Pashaei sent to FIFA.

People have mistaken FIFA as Amnesty International.

Short of declaring a war against another country, FIFA doesn't really do much.

These are the things FIFA has has ignored.

- US/UK invasion of Iraq in 2003
- Saudi/UAE war against Yemen
- Assad's brutality against his own people
- Azerbaijan's incursions into Armenia
- Turkey's incursions into Iraq
- China's imprisonment of a million people because of their religion
- Sexual harassment by FIFA affiliated association members against women and children!
- Torture of Bahrain national football team players by the Bahraini gov (including AFC's now president).



If Iran is punished, it is simply because someone in FIFA really has it out for Iran. Otherwise FIFA doesn't give a damn. This entire World Cup is built on slave labor for goodness sake!

I don't think we'll be banned considering the WC is held in Qatar which has used slave labor to build this WC.
I also don't think the players should suffer from this. Now I think the WC is a great platform for the players to make a strong stance!
