USA is the easiest draw we could have gotten from pot 2. This team just lost to costa rica u23, had trouble with likes of canada throughout qualifying. They play a naive brand of football and despite some talented individuals they managed to hire a coach with worse resume/technical savvy than our own skocic.

And the Wales/Scotland/Ukraine scenarios are all ok. All weaker than morocco side we defeated in 2018.

Last time we had the group of death on paper. But both Spain&Portugal couldn't make it out of the Round of last 16 loosing to Russia and Uruguay! This time the group looks much weaker ON PAPER but beside England , USA have a strong Team. Scotland/Wales/Ukraine are all dangerous to play, specially Ukraine.

This will become IR's motivational line in the next few months. Why it is a problem to have two team from Asia or Africa in the same group while it is ok to have two team from the same political entity (Wales, Scotland) in the same group as England? We should give autonomy (only in Foootball) to Khouzestan and Azarbaijan and have three three team from Iran qualify for WC 2040

From a pure footballing perspective, it's a very good draw for TM.

England is very over-rated and we just need to contain Kane. I actually really like how Kanani matches up against Kane (not joking either). England panics so if the game is 0-0 by the 60th minute, anything is possible.

USMNT is also crap. If there's one coach worse than Skocic in the WC, it's Berhalter. They have good players all over EU but don't play well as a team. Outside of US soil, they are very average.

I don't love the Pot 4 team, but given the other two teams, we'll take it.

but scotland will be a challenge ... but likely to take points of English due to familiarities with English and rivalries...!

worst would be Ukraine imo, on one hand the country and league is in a cluster fk but on other hand they are a solid footballing nation which will be out highly motivated to make their people happy and getting massive sympathy fandom behind them from the world wide audience..!!

Yup…if we had CQ coaching with this group I’d have all the confidence we’d get 4-7 points but with Skocic even 2-3 would be a miracle

We should definately try and play both Ireland & Northern Ireland in June or September. Especially our Iran & Qatar/UAE players need to experience that intense physicality.

They will never accept to play us and they have fking nation league anyways.
