    Schafer is perfect for SS.

Let's not ruin the one good club coach we have by promoting him to Team Melli. He's perfect at where he is. Iranian football needs to stack itself (at National Team level and club level) with great coaches.

So far, we have CQ and Schafer. Let's build on this. I hope Persepolis and Sepahan can be the next to get a great coach.

As Nader said, we need to look for a good coach that needs to redeem himself with redemption. That's the perfect opportunity for Iranian clubs/team to get someone of high caliber.

Reports from Iran indicate that he will be signing a 3 year contract with Esteghlal.

Branko is the best foreign coach in Iran right now. At least results wise.

Looool. Branko is fortunate enough to have good players to make him look. Other than that, I take Winnie in a heartbeat.

Branko is a solid coach, especially for iranian standards. His problem is his tactics are too one dimensional and he is not very flexible. But as we saw with PP, especially last year, and still this year, he has built a fundamentally sound team. They are solid defensively and dont concede many goals. He has brought new talent up ( and got them performing at high level) like Moharrami, Alipour, to an extent Taremi, and really helped players like Beiranvand, Ansari, etc. The issue now is with the departure of Taremi PP look like they lack offensive threat, which is compounded by the fact that Branko wont use the like of Resan, Mosalman, etc enough and together (stubbornness).

Still for iranian standards he is a solid coach and a good fit for PP bc he brings stability. We shouldnt downplay his achievements. Just last season he went to the semi final of ACL, and if not for Taremi being a retard he very well may have led his team to the final. They won the league two years in a row, and have been solid in ACL again this year (so far) despite transfer ban and clear shortage of talent.

With branko, you know what you are going to get, and this is the maximum. Tbh, that is good enough for PP, but not good enough for TM.

I would say Kranjcar when at Sepahan was a better manager than Branko

He easily was... Look at how well he did with them with a much poorer roster.

Schafer hala halaha bayad beravad taa be branko beresad. Branko has won championships in 4 different countries, he has won asian olympics gold, asian cup third place, continental cup, and a third place world cup finish with Croatia as an assistant, couple of waffs and repeat in ipl is imminent. Not to mention it should really be a three-peat since pp got robbed 3 years ago. He has done all this with all kinds of players, injuries, suspensions...etc. Results wise he is the best foreign coach in Iran for a long time. Even Cq with his great resume has not won anything of substance in Iran or UAE for that matter where Branko won a title.

Nothing against Branko but read Schafer's achievements as a headcoach before making a comment like that

Although I did talk about Branko's international record as well the comparison I made between him and Branko was a follow up on my original comment about Branko being the best Foreign coach in Iran result wise. But now that you mention it I did check and Schafer has an African cup with Cameroon and a title in UAE. So lets not exaggerate and Branko still has won more.
                        Thanks.
