Still a month left in transfer window
I suppose Lazio could still come back with a juiced up offer to finally snatch him ..!? Especially so if they end up getting $20+ mil cash for Keita rather than cash + another player deal ..!
That ceicido guy is primarily chosen to be a sub for immobile & another Solid Scoring Striker which they still need in order to play their favored 3-5-2 formation. Apparently the guy took 50% pay-cut (1.5mil which is still too high wages for a primarily a bench player) & Only paid $3 mil in transfer fee to espanuol for him ..! So Lazio still has money to buy Azmoun & be able to really put a formidable side to challenge for domestic silverwear & make deep EU run as well...!

I doubt Lazio agreed to pay in 18mil regions...!? Or probably Rubin woulda given their blessings already. Off course, non of really know the exact detail$ of the offer, so we can best judge who's to blame for the last contract fall out ..!?
Espaniol were asking 6 for their lousy striker & only got 3mil... so go figure .!!
If indeed Lazio offer reached 18 mil borders & KuRbin refused to budge ..!? Then I'd have to agree that they were awful greedy & overplayed their cards ..! In that case, Azmoun shoulda made more efforts to force a move through than just Unfriending Rubin on his insta ..! & he will likely rue this missed opportunity as this looked to be an excellent stepping stone in his young but very promissing career ..! Sure if he does very well in RPL & WC, he could well go to a higher profile team with over 20 mil transfer fee, but will he find another such quality club that really believes & count on his football contribution..!? Doubtful.

Teams right now are viewing him as better than that. The longer he stays and adapts to that competition level, the more he'll be viewed on that level. Be honest with yourselves, interest from big teams is from his CL performance, not his league performances.

Sardar looks like an average player in the league. That's a product of the league's style of play. People are already calling his goals against Bayern and Atletico flukes and lucky. Go read that Lazio forum, the dumbasses think Caicedo is better than Azmoun.

The longer he looks average in the average Russian league, the more average he will look to potential buyers. We are all banking on him having a great season and a breakout World Cup. What if that doesn't happen? What if we get a group of death and Sardar looks average?

without miracle performances in the league and World Cup, he is guaranteed to be seen as an average player next year. It's sad, but he put himself in this situation.

Lazio expected him to come in and make a difference for them. If he doesn't make a huge impact at Rubin this year, do you think teams will still think he's an impact player? It's a risk and a gamble to make that bet.

We know he is talented but the longer he waits in a league like Russia, the worse odds he has of breaking out in a top league. This was his chance to do it.

I would put my money on Sardar not being as sought after next year as compared to now. He would need a big performance in World Cup, and even then, many teams don't sign based on World Cup performance anyways.

It's a bad situation, but there is always false hope to make us feel better.
Let them all under estimate our players. Let them all feel confident when facing us at the WC. Thats what we want.

It says "The dream of Azmoun will not stop for Lazio even if the figures are a bit too high"

puh.... Azmoun doesn't even seem to have interest for playing regularly in Lazio, let alone lending him to Verona. Nice article.

What a disaster! At least at Rostov he was either starting back to back or worst starting one, being subbed the next.

Lol because the Karadeniz is such a better player than Azmoun so he gets a start. This is what he gets for his loyalty? Do you guys think he might actually leave for Lazio if they keep losing and he gets no playtime?

go look back at all his seasons in russia. You will see first few weeks he always starts on bench and then comes on. becuase he has missed all pre seasons. just like this year. he will become starter soon when he is fit and plays good

I think Sardar will follow Berdyev in the 2nd division of Russia
