What is your approval rating of CQ (before Chile/Sweden Friendlies)

I voted 4 but I still fully support CQ. People who voted 4 & 5 fall into the 88% category.

He didn't come to Iran to adapt to our environment, he came to adapt our football with the world class environment.Originally posted by Bijans View PostIt is great that he has discipline but you have to be able to adapt to your environment rapidly and he is not doing it.

I personally wouldn't judge him on these two friendlies alone, but results can shift opinions depending on which way they go.Originally posted by Kiarash View PostA coach can be judged on 2 friendly games?
By comparing the results of the polls before and after the two games, we'll see how true that holds (at least here on PFDC).
I suspect one win in two games would increase his approval rating as would a tie and a soft loss. Two soft losses would probably not make much of a difference whereas two heavy losses may lead to lower ratings. We'll have to wait and see.

hate to say it...but you guys do realize that adding the options 4 and 5 gives CQ over a 70% approval rating....
But I am sure this too will be labeled as PARTY BAZI and BARNAME 90 PROPAGANDA by our uneducated and ignorant (and ZEERAK) Los Angeles based TV stations...
I cant believe that some people talk about democracy in Iran, but when 88% of people text their approval to 90 show regarding CQ, they call it PROPAGANDA and PARTEE BAZI.
How about the thousands of people that showed up to the Airport after the Iraq loss? Were those PARTEE bazee too?

REALLY?! I'll be dammed if 90% of the people who fully support CQ, haven't been arguing the exact opposite of that until now!Originally posted by OFFSIDE_1 View PostYou do know that people don't have to believe 100% in everything that CQ does to fall into that 88% category. right ?
The smallest criticism of CQ has been called CQ bashing, armchair managing, yada yada yada, but we've apparently been on the same side of the argument and in the 88% the whole time!
Relax buddy. Nobody made the claim this is a scientific poll or is an accurate sample size of all TM fans! If anything, you're the one who's treating a 90 phone-in text poll as scientific and have been throwing it around in discussions to make a point!Originally posted by OFFSIDE_1 View Postyes, clearly the sample size you used is a reflection of the entire football fan population in Iran and the ROW. Now that's as scientific as it gets. If that's how you "bust" theories, then you should stay as far as possible from the scientific world, and stick to your day job in the sales world.
Did I say FOX News is my favorite station?! You're the one who seems to be watching them all the time and are familiar with their polls!Originally posted by OFFSIDE_1 View PostIt kinda reminds me of the polls we see on your favorite station, FOX News

Wow, talk about being overly sensitive. On the next poll after the two friendlies, I'll list them backward for you.

A coach can be judged on 2 friendly games?Originally posted by Bi-honar View PostBTW, this poll is running until tomorrow morning, but as it stands I guess we've busted the heavily circulated myth that 88% of TM fans fully approve of CQ.
You can obviously interpret the results in many different ways, but so far the majority of the fans (at least here) haven't given CQ a 100% approval rating with almost 1 in 4 fans not approving of him at all.
It will be interesting to see if or how the approval ratings change after the Chile and Sweden friendlies.
Talking about being harsh. CQ worked for TM 4 years, the results of two friendlies do not change the fact that he achieved good things and has a large majority approving TM fans.

To what extent this fame and fan support represent his actual technical and tactical
NUMBERS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES BUT....
So far 44 votes are casted.
33 votes belong to the camp that approve him. That means 75% APPROVAL
7 votes belong to the camp that disapprove him. That means 16% DISAPPROVE ONLY
4 votes belong to the camp that are neutral . That means 9% IN THE MIDDLE
I've never seen this much support for anyone in our country years after years; polls after polls and yet wonder if this is normal or it is just because we have been isolated, embargoed, bashed, abused, discriminated and bashed in an extent that any gesture from CQ FROM his feast showing gesture in qualifying matches to bullying Williams, seems heroic actions in Defence of our nation; some kind of a LPS (Lost Pride Syndrome) and therefore he collects so much popularity despite his somewhat a over average transcript with Iranian national team?!! To what extent this fame and fan support represent his actual technical and tactical abilities ?

yes, clearly the sample size you used is a reflection of the entire football fan population in Iran and the ROW. You open a poll, have the negative points on the top, and claim that "somewhat approve" does not fall into the 88% category. You do know that people don't have to believe 100% in everything that CQ does to fall into that 88% category. right ?Originally posted by Bi-honar View PostBTW, this poll is running until tomorrow morning, but as it stands I guess we've busted the heavily circulated myth that 88% of TM fans fully approve of CQ.

Now that's as scientific as it gets. It kinda reminds me of the polls we see on your favorite station, FOX News, where they find 4 scientists who don't believe in climate change and then they "bust" that heavily circulated myth about global climate change, when 99% of scientists have evidence to prove there is climate change.
If that's how you "bust" theories, then you should stay as far as possible from the scientific world, and stick to your day job in the sales world.

I was a solid 5 before the WC, down to 3.5 after, back up to 4 before the AC, 3 after and I'm sitting at 2 now. So, considering everything I'm about 3 now.
How is the plan for vising us ?

OVERALL- I do a 4.
before the two friendlies and after the AC it is a 2 for me. Here is my reasoning.
1- I do like CQ and I think he is one heck of a coach- but he is populist meaning he will sugarcoat lots of things to get his way, if you are on his bus you will go for ride of your life and if you don't follow his rules you will burn in hell. It is great that he has discipline but you have to be able to adapt to your environment rapidly and he is not doing it.
2- putting pressure on the team right before the two big games would hurt our chances of playing good football. It is in the back of every player mind that he will leave plus all the pre-game interviews will be on that subject taking the focus off the game.
I realize we have an incompetent FF and people running the country are even worse, there are lots of things CQ is right about but I don't like his populist ideas as much as most people do, nevertheless I still believe he is the right guy for the job.

5 for me, even though AC 2015 exit may have suggested 4.
My reasoning:
TM boss is multi dimensional and the boss has to professionally handle
1) manage soccer related activities ( all foreign coaches can do this)
2) manage media ( all foreign coaches should be able to do this)
3) manage IFF
4) manage friendlies/camps ( due to his connection he was able to manage camps and friendlies)
5) create a professional attitude out of non professional atmosphere in the League)
6) inspire players and get the best of them
7) do away with player-rule attitude in TM ( Rahmati, Aghilie )
8) live in Iran and enjoy being there

judging a mans work is always relevant and not black and white, especially in Iran.
You can bring the best surgen to a sick mans bedside, but if he doesnt have the proper support, staff and equipment then his work will not reflect his skills. IFF and Iranian economy is experiencing difficulties never experienced before and that has made it almost impossible to prepare and scheduel friendlies and camps. Until a week prior to AFC, we didnt have money to play our teams plane tickets.
To all of these financial woes and lack of friendly games you must add the ongoing VEZARAT-E VARZESH vs IFF war.
TO all of this you might want to add the impossible situation that ignorant and BISAVAAD iranian coaches creat in iran.
SO if you ask me, he has done GREAT.
