What is your approval rating of CQ (before Chile/Sweden Friendlies)

It's my honest non-medical opinion that any fan of Iranian football that has the proper context and background knowledge to make a logical assessment, who disapproves of the work CQ has done for the national team, suffers from some degree ranging from very mild to relatively severe delusional disorder. I could be wrong, but I'm not joking around about it either.Originally posted by O-ZoNe View PostDelusional disorder is a serious psychosis that does not warrant joking about. It's much more devastating than whether you agree or disagree with a football coach.

Riiight. It's only the fans who support CQ. The players themselves have not said anything ever, or rather the desperate CQ bashers pretend they haven't noticed so they can keep acting as if it's just our take against theirs. Dejagah and Gucci's consistent support means nothing. And I'm sure they're comparing CQ to GN and MK when they say he's the best they ever worked with. What a load of...Originally posted by Bi-honar View PostWe keep comparing him to GN, MK or Daei (i.e. no-choices IMHO) and keep saying he's the best coach, which I totally agree he is - compared to that group

After the WC, I was very impressed with some of the S. American coaches. I personally do not believe any Iranian coach at the moment is ready to take on the team (we have guys like Hashemian, Mansourian, and others in the future but not for 2018). Jorge Luis Pinto was without a job after leaving Costa Rica and was picked up by Honduras in December. I think he would have taken the Iran job if he was offered a decent contract (prob not as large as what CQ is getting). Oscar Tabarez, Jose Pekermen...Pekermen was negotiating with Columbia when we were negotiating with CQ...options existed and still do. I really feel we could do well with more of a S. American influence (like what Viera did with our 98 squad)...we have tried the European experiment and change while not always easy, can be very positive!Originally posted by AminGP View PostSince you voted neutral, do you prefer him to stay or someone else to come on board? If another coach who do you think would be suitable for TM?
I mean if Bunyodkor of Uzbekistan could afford to hire Felipe Scolari why can't TM. I know he didn't have a great WC, but everyone has a bad day...Scolari as coach of TM would be a dream and he is coaching some Brazilian club team at present!

Since you voted neutral, do you prefer him to stay or someone else to come on board? If another coach who do you think would be suitable for TM?Originally posted by O-ZoNe View PostHence why there is a likert scale for you to express that. I am relatively neutral, for the reasons outlined before, and that is ok as well. I do not get why we insist on CQ hater or CQ lover...

Khob Offside jaan, isn't that the exact same thing the "CQ haters" (as some in the 40% would label them, yourself included in this very postOriginally posted by OFFSIDE_1 View Postyou do realize that you can disagree with some aspects of a person's performance, and yet still approve of their overall work.
) have been saying the whole time?! I personally grew hair on my tongue
from repeating that. I'm glad we finally agree on that.
That's a little bit of a loaded sentence Amin jaan. Sure, he's the best choice for Iran, because at the moment he's the only choice!Originally posted by AminGP View PostI still think he's the best choice for Iran.
It's not like IFF has come up with a list of 6 alternate coaches we can hire for $3 million a year and we have compared their resumes and playing styles and conclusively determined CQ is the best choice for going forward.
We keep comparing him to GN, MK or Daei (i.e. no-choices IMHO) and keep saying he's the best coach, which I totally agree he is - compared to that group.

5.....because our football has advanced.
Since the 1970s
We've never had such a solid defense.
We've never had such solidarity between the players
We've never had such discipline and respect for the team melli shirt.
We've never played with such a clear game plan, even though it's not too attractive.
In these 4 ways, our football has progressed. Many of the players have expressed learning a lot from the coach. I'll bet that they will continue to sing the same song after CQ leaves.
As much as I hate to say it, IFF made 2 great decisions. Hiring CQ and also keeping him for 4 years. Hopefully next coach will build on this advancement.

So far 67 people have voted only so we can't really compare/judge his approval rating with 3 million at 90's program. CQ has not been perfect and he definetly has some flaws but I still think he's the best choice for Iran. I've never seen our TM players and fans so united and this is truly because of CQ's ability to bring the fans and players together.Originally posted by Bi-honar View PostIt's actually 75% here Amin jaan and I suspect the numbers in Iran would have dropped to around the same levels since the 90 poll because of the latest fiasco.
At any rate, my point was that 88% of the fans don't feel that CQ's tenure has been perfect or give him a 100% approval rating, the way some gentlemen have been throwing those numbers around.
In fact, the majority of the fans (58%) at least here on PFDC, don't feel that CQ has been perfect or beyond criticism - at least that's how I'm interpreting the results.
At the end all I want is for TM to succeed and I hope whoever comes on board would be able to help us achieve great things.
