Don’t forget when CQ came to Iran he was coaching Portugal NT which is not a smaller role/job than managing Tottenham. Also re: budget, for better or worse…..Taj has a track record of tapping into big $ to get big name coaches.
I agree he may appreciate the chance and take it. He is Australian and by virtue of coaching in Asia already it makes it more likely.

The problem is that Ange also is a coach, like CQ, who will light a fire underneath a federation.

He was driving Levy, the owner of Tottenham, crazy and would have intense interviews and lash against reporters that were speaking badly of the team.

IFF doesnt want any of that ever again after CQ called their bluffs over and over again.

I agree, CQ should comeback. The only coach foreign or non foreign that can turn this team around is him.

Only if he gets given a long term contract 4-5 years. Coming back only to leave after WC is dumb. I doubt he would want anything to do with it though, hes like 72

CQ should have never left (were it not for the incompetence of IFF)

I wish CQ would be more offensive minded , I still rather have someone else as the main coach but CQ as an assistant

                  Best option would really be

                  Andrea Stramaccioni
                  Italian football manager

I feel bad for CQ because in 2022 he only had 2-3 total weeks with the team during that winter world cup, no coach can instill any system in that time frame. Might as well have kept Skocic.

When he actually has the time to cook and implement his system we play beautiful attacking football too. We didn't just sit back vs Argentina in 2014, or Spain/Portugal in 2018. We attacked relentlessly but none of our players could finish. He had them all tactically figured out and it ultimately came down to player quality. There is nothing we can do when a player like Queresma scores an insane trivela goal like that

This guy if not sacked ASAPAAPP will do irreversible damage to our football. Big teams are playing 17-19 year olds in finals and wcq do or die games and this retard is playing Cheshmi and a 37 year old center back in meaningless matches

Is this even a possibility that CQ would come back for a third time?

I mean does he HIMSELF even want the job?

My personal choise would be Carvahal or Sergio Concenciao, but i can keep dreaming

I rather even Mansourian over CQ.

At least with Masourian we don't know what his ceiling is at the world cup. With CQ it's just another group stage exit.

im done with CQ ....! the whole footballing world seems to be as well..!! too yek dandeh o 1dimentional...! agge mikhaast ye gohi bokhoreh taa halla khordeh bood ..!!
but then again the last time TM looked a real professional Team with every player playing within a clear Team tactical instructions and footballing purpose as a Unit was under him (be it ultra defensive..!) during those times we kept beating SK 1-0 and to some extent during the WC18..!!
but for that he had Years/Months/weeks of preparations...!!

imo what's most alarming and severely lacking now with the TM under GN (even more so than his over reliance the already tried and true, senior players) is anything Resembling a TEAM Tactics and Strategy ..!!
like i said before GN is just your typical irooni Good Team picker coach, he has little to no formal footballing strategic and tactical education and knowledge..!
he just picks out in his view the best 11 to face a particular opponent and sends them out there with some basic instructions as to their positioning on the pitch, what areas they should be mostly covering and generally what to do when attacking/defending..!
so long his starting 11 are Individually superior talented footballers than those of the opponent, and nothing unusual occurs during the course of 90, his team is likely to garner a positive result, but if faced with an equally or superior footballing talented side, or if some shitt goes haywire (like Milmo's Red card) then most likely everything slowly falls to shitt around his TM..!
His abilities to change the course of game with subs or tactical adjustments of sorts are Minimal and close to Zero and his big ego gets wont allow him to take such advice from others around him on the bench..!

i watched the replay of last game, tbf, although he fielded a few new faces, yet almost None stood out and performed well enough to prove they belong to TM more so than the veterans they were supposedly replacing..!! although we generally controlled the early proceedings, w/o sardar, real Mohebi or the kootooleh, we didnt pose any serious attacking threat to gutter and off course everything else went tits up for us after that Retarded red card by goozoo Milmo..!!
Demonstrating ONCE AGAIN with our golden generation of footballers hitting the twilight of their careers we still Dont have near enough Young and promising footballers to Replace the largely played-out oldies of TM @ least not yet to any great effect..!!

So Now with the WC fast approaching, its even more Important for IFF to expediently find and hire a coach who better understands the rules, strategies, and Tactical Nuances of the game and able to get our to play much better AS A TEAM..!!

of all the realistic alternative coaches that im aware of Carlos Carvahal seems to fit the bill best also..!!

he seem to have an uncanny ability to get largely minnow sides to play good, organized football as a Unit with excellent Tactical Discipline..! he proved as such a coach watching his Rio Ave team with Taremi, even other jobs he got in liga Nos afterwards, his teams competed very valiantly and effectively vs Teams with more than 2-3 times their budget and history as club .... !!

he just seems to be a bit of a hot-head, my way or hwy kinda of a typical gheyrati Portuguese character ..!! which is not necessarily a bad thing for TM Success..!!
