100% agree. How do we start some sort of online petition/make something go viral to get him back? Lol I know IFF will do whatever they want in the end but it's better than nothing.

Someone needs to start some sort of 'Bring Carlos Back' trend on social media. I don't use any social media myself lol.

GN should’ve never been “in” to begin with, then we double down and kept him too long because of a win against Japan. We got handed a very easy group, any coach could’ve qualified us and came in at least halfway through to have an extra year to work with the team.

What does he do other than walk around frowning and yelling at the bench? This guy isn’t a coach.

We are stuck in the exact same situation as 4 years ago now. Where best case scenario is kick out the coach, bring in someone new and hope with a few camps and friendlies this horrible aging team will somehow grow as a unit, and develop new skills lol. There’s literally nothing to look forward to, we are gonna go with zero game
plan, party bazi player selection, horrible fitness, a squad that was already too old in 2022 will be even older now.

Obviously I want our team to succeed no matter what, but there’s literally nothing to be hopeful for with how we are going into the tournament. From the bringing in of Wilmots, then skocic, the firings, the Hail Mary for CQ, and the pain of GN, it’s been non stop incompetence from our federation ever since the initial firing of CQ.

Now that we won 3-0 I really hope that doesn’t change how Taj/federation view GN and his inevitable embarrassment if he remains……

I’m the biggest CQ supporter but:

              a) we set him up to fail during the last WC. Giving him a limited time to succeed, also during a time of political unrest and brain washing where our own people turned on their own players. After the way Carlos was treated he will never want to be back.

              b) Carlos set us up to fail in the US game, it was his selection and tactics that stopped us from progressing. He will likely Do the same thing again given his limited time.

Therefore We literally have to be insane to do the EXACT same thing as 4 years ago and expect a different result. But this is all out federations fault for leaving us in this place. As despite what i said above i can hear the other side too, because literally ANYONE can be better than Ghalenoi.

We are in a lose lose situation, it’s best just to keep hope and expectations at zero going into this WC. We’re not gonna succeed regardless of what we do.

                Pls no CQ!
i still can not get over 3-0 vs Japan and losing to half ass US team while we could have qualified with only a draw in our easiest WC ever!

I posted this in another thread but I think it's worth posting here again to get som thoughts and feedback from other.

I have never felt so uninterested in our national team. I was one of those who didn't even miss a single minute of even TM's most insignificant match, even if it was a practice match against an IPL team, but now, I don't even move a finger when they score. I don't feel anything. I keep trying to find some motivation but I almost feel nauseous and irritated when I see them play the way they do.

They play such outdated football, you can tell from afar that it is an Iranian national team playing even if you didn't know in advance that the match was on TV. The way they move the ball, the way they pass, the way they play like Nemati still hits (Bezan ziresh) from his own half against the attackers. Not even against a damaged and reduced North Korea can they own the match and have more than 5-6 passes before they lose the ball.

I really hoped they wouldn't win by more than 1-0, because then at least they would have won and not lost a lot of ranking points, but at the same time GN and his pact wouldn't be able to hide behind a victory and defend how good they were and that they won. Now they won 3-0 and I am convinced that no one will even be able to say anything about how bad they were because the answer will be from TM staff that "we won 3-0, could have won 5 or 6-0.

To sum up this sad record, as it has been during basically the entire qualifiers, there is no hope for this team. The fact is that today, if Taremi who is 32 years old was not there, they would not have even managed to win. This means sadly that we again, just like always with Iranian coaches, are completely dependent on individuals, people like Taremi or Azmoun. Our defense is absolutely pathetic, like Swiss cheese, so much hype about Aria Yousefi and Aref Aghasi. The midfield, almost absent except for possibly Ezzi. Saman so out of shape, not surprised though considering his move to the UAE. May God help us in the World Cup so that we do not become other teams' punching bags

This is IRI doing. They have destroyed everything that is dear and near to our hearts including this team. They made it bad with gov bandi, party bazi, etc... that none of us have the interest to watch them. I used to wake up 4-5 am to watch their games but right now I do not really care. The writing is written on the wall. The mofia is there and they are their to fill their pockets and stomach. They all getting fatter and richer off TM.

This is the sad reality of TM. we do not have a del sooz to help us.

I also never missed any TM games, getting up at 3am to watch TM play any team but I didn't even know TM was playing N Korea this morning until i saw a highlight feed on insta....totally lost interest in this TM as the feeling is we are stagnated & infact going backwards 😞

I echo what’s been said. I’d wake up at 3 am for a useless friendly before and celebrate when we would score. I haven’t missed a live game since 2006, wether it was missing work, being late for class, exhausted I’ve stayed loyal. But there’s literally zero joy in this team. I feel the same, obviously I’m happy when we score but there’s nothing in it. I’m supposed to be happy we finally scored on North Korea down to 10 men? A team like Qatar beat us. We couldn’t beat Uzbekistan and almost gave up a top place finish.

with all this, how do we expect to get a result on the biggest stage against the best teams? Beofre there was at least the thrill of a real coach, a sense of unity, strong defense, we had strong European prospects. Our players have gone back to their own ways where prospects chase the Lazy life in Arab countries.

also all of our top players are just weaker versions of themselves, coupled with weaker teammates as 4 years ago.

unfortunately we got a taste of the biggest what ifs in 2018 and a tiny bit in 2022. That’s all gone now the federation and IR did what was the norm and ruined anything that was postive.

I am done with GN. The man is clueless. He has never been a good international games coach, be it at a club or national team levels. We had the very same arguments during 2007 Asian Cup and post-Asian Cup era. We will be humiliated in the WC should he keep this position!

Is North Korea at or below the level of an average PGL team?

TM should not need a red card to score on an average PGL team.

How are we going to score on an 11 man team of players that are actually....good

It's clear as daylight now that this guy is no good to lead us at the world cup. All the evidence is there... Question is: will they give a $hit? Or will they repeat the same bs and hire a desperate foreign coach with minimal time left until world cup and say "well we tried everything and hired a foreign coach"? .... Really worried about this situation we're in
