My unpopular opinion is that hajsafi should be invited to TM. First of all, he can left back, right back, or midfield. Second of all, he is 8 caps away from being most capped TM player of all time. Third of all, if going young is not gonna happen anytime soon, might as well give haj NASA a shot instead of like cheshmi for example.

btw, he is returning to PGPL from Europe. This is a great move if he wants to increase his chances of playing for TM

with all our individual biases aside, there are at least 3 TM players that can be replaced by Hajsafi

I'm not surprised at this point, I mean the man did say Moghanlou will be at the WC. I never root against TM to lose, so I hope he loses his job some other way. If we're gonna have an Iranian coach I prefer Golmohammadi anyways so we can at least have some defense. This guy is so much worse than Skocic IMO. At least Skocic was playing kids like Allahyar, Moharrami, and Hosseinzadeh.

Japan played 20 year old Suzuki who was super raw and now he's starting full time in Serie A. He struggled for 5-6 games before coming into gear for the National Team, but the coach believed in him and saw his potential.

BTW here are the ages the current TM players made their debut:

Meanwhile now we are struggling to start a 22 year old CB because he's too "young". Combined with reverse exodus of everyone going to PGPL, UAE, or Russia. I don't see any bright future for this team like I did from 2016-2022
