I think the Harry Potter and Iranians thing was overblown here. Although he didn’t seem very fond of JB, he had a great relationship with Ghoddos at Ostersund.

he basically didnt rate ARJ and a week after getting the BHA Coaching job pretty much told him to go look for another team to transfer to ...!
Ali had no offers from any equal or better club and certainly couldnt possibly get anywhere close to his lucrative paycheck elsewhere, so he stayed on, and obviously the club/pothead tried to frustrate him into a premature departure by not playing him or other ways of fkn with him..!!
ps
taremi is now supposedly negotiating with a brizilian club Botafogo..!? its probably just some bs ... if it pans out that'd be some bizarre transfer ..!! :-)-

^ old news...! he was supposedly given a few more vacation days.... most likely due to his almost certain impending transfer to elsewhere....!
the club's official reasoning that he was given extra vacay days due to iran bombing and being stuck there is largely bs ..... there is still a chance that he may ultimately land at a rival club and they dont particularly want him in loop with Inter's tactical structure and planning for the upcoming season ...!
i think if it goes another week or more of no concrete offer for his services from EPL/SerieA or other top 5 EU league where he would like to transfer to... then they'll soften up to the idea of integrate him into Inter's preseason prep..!!?

Have to go through way too many loops to even leave Iran, just in order to go to a relegation level team in Russia or Belgium.
Imagine we had such a bache porroo, and the attacks haters would make against our players if this was the case for TM players.

you gotta have some Nasty and Confidence bordering Arrogance in you to last and succeed..!!
Mehdi's Inter situation is a somewhat relatable and a decent example of such situation..!!
he played too unselfishly to a fault ..! did much of defensive bitchwork along with massive contribution to intangibles that often translate in good result on the pitch but dont amount to any standout Stats or personal glory, playing on painkillers and injections, sacrificed his body and health and much for his team and attacking teammates throughout the season, only to be despised by their fans and forced out by their mgmt..!! :/

Now look at what Iranian players have to overcome?
- Born in a country closed off to the world
- Agents that are focused on laundering players to Russia then selling them for a profit to UAE
- No infrastructure and no opportunities for most youth aside from a few teams who throw them a bone
Only path out of Iran and to success is through connections OR going to a top Russian team at 17-20 AND getting play time. Otherwise its just a cycle of scams and laundering

but for me his refusal to succumb early to such a miserable faith and his relentless intent on making Iran and iranian football fans proud, is his most endearing quality...!!
if he was outa contract already, a transfer to ayrab wasteland coulda/woulda been a stark possibility ..... but for now i still have faith in our man Mehdi to somehow force a transfer to a decent EU club yet...!
ps
i think if Inter eventually fail to land in Lookman, then Mehdi's reintegration back into Inter's new project isnt yet completely outa realms of possibilities..!!?

He could have gone to Saudi many times for much more money but didn't.
He's a hard worker and has great football ambition.
Too many times our fans focus on hashieh instead of the actual competency of a player.
