Yeah you are right. No sane person would ever argue against Mehdi being a clear starter over Arnautovic looking how brilliant he has been every single game he has started and compared to how aweful Arnautovic has been.

And Inzaghi is clearly a joke of a coach. Being voted 3rd best coach in the world in 2023 and taking over an Inter side who year after year struggled to even get past group hase of CL to a FINAL and now this year to a semi-final and constantly battling for and even winning trophies more frequently than any other coach has done in Inter since Mourinhos short spell surely doesnt count for jack shit. He is obviously terrible anyone with a little football brain who has watched the team for some time can see what you see. You tell him man!!

Your world class coach just lost the league and the cup, and barely hanging on in the UCL. He’s team is gassed, no bench depth and relying on individual moments of brilliance. That has got to be one of the greatest CL semi-final matches of all time. Every commentator I listened to was absolutely out of words how brilliant of a game this was in so many ways.


Before the match I had totally prepared myself mentally for a complete trashing I mean I just think Barca is the best team in the world right now and we truly dont have a chance. Never did I expect such an amazing game.

Once again, Inzaghi proving what an absolute tactical genius he can be. This was not in any way shape or form "parking the bus" or just focusing on defence. He knew Barca would play with a high defensive line so he had instructed the team to play with a deep defensive line and play quick passing focusing particularly on getting the ball to the wingers - where Dumfries was phenomenal and dimarco sucked.

In the first half Barca managed to intercept many of the counters, not allowing the ball to get forward but in the second half as soon as some passes get through it doesnt take much to see how quickly it turns into a deadly attack. The margins are so small for him to be called an idiot or a genious but in the end this was a fantastic plan setup by him and I dont know many other coaches that can give this Barca team a tougher time at home in a CL semi-final at the same time that you see Lamine Yamal becoming nothing short of a GOD!

I dont care what happens in the return leg, this will still be one of the most amazing runs Ive seen in many years beating teams like Bayern, Arsenal almost City and now actually playing this amazing away VS Barca with a totally tanked team with all the key injuries etc.

As for Mehdi, whatever happens this match right here, being part of it for 45 minutes without actually fucking it up (no, he wasnt GREAT, he was decent, neither good nor bad) must be considered the peak of his career. No game he has played in will ever be comparable to this.

Decent in linkup play, disciplined with his defensive work. Could have easily been played through a few times, but he did his part well enough.
