His first season was trouble. But to be fair, he might have a rebound season next year and do better. Sometimes when you hit rock bottom, there is no more going down but up from that point. So he could have a good season. The question is whether Inter wants him?

From what I hear from Inter fans, the club owners are cheap when it comes to off-season budgets, so there is a possibility they will keep the same team.

Yes, the goal is to win some silverware, but finishing Top 2-3 in every tournament is not a bad result.

yea probably, from owner's/ pure business perspective, they've already made a fk ton of $$ by advancing deep into UCL Cup and even SerieA even if they dont win a trophy ..!
this club operates a very tight budget generally, that's why they always chasing and signing players who are outa contract with free transfer fees, .... they are unlikely to grab too many formidable young strikers on the Free for next season to displace Mehdi , Jonathan David is probably their Only legit hope..!!?

TBF, before injury flare up, Mehdi played pretty damn good/solid football for the club regardless of not amassing big scorer figures ...!
im fairly certain if club feels that Physically Mehdi is capable of full recovery, then they will all but certain to keep him for striker depth for next season..!
much will depend on how lucky they get in Mercato this summer on new, younger (CHEAP, FREE) talent acquisition off course ..!!

I am so freaking excited for Roma beating Inter in this manner. I have never seen such toxic fan base. They all bitch and moaned that their beloved Arna should start or be on top of Mehdi in the pecking order and look how that worked out. Yeah you are right. No sane person would ever argue against Mehdi being a clear starter over Arnautovic looking how brilliant he has been every single game he has started and compared to how aweful Arnautovic has been.

And Inzaghi is clearly a joke of a coach. Being voted 3rd best coach in the world in 2023 and taking over an Inter side who year after year struggled to even get past group hase of CL to a FINAL and now this year to a semi-final and constantly battling for and even winning trophies more frequently than any other coach has done in Inter since Mourinhos short spell surely doesnt count for jack shit. He is obviously terrible anyone with a little football brain who has watched the team for some time can see what you see. You tell him man!!

The last time he played vs Byern, he just looked extremely exhausted & drained of energy..! There wasnt a collision suggesting a muscle injury of sorts ..!?
he’s been resting for two weeks now & this isnt a type of game youd further rest Starters for ..!
most likely they’re gonna be in a defensive shell for much of the game. There’s still a good chance that Mehdi will get decent minutes in the second half…!
Specially, if Marcus starts showing fatigue and poops out by halftime..!

More importantly IMO is the fact that Dumfries is back after like 2 months. He was like half their counterattacking threat this season. People don't realize how many goals/assist he has

Everyone is disappointed in his season. So am I. But let’s take these next few games to enjoy the fact that a Persian player has the chance to play in the UCL semis.
