The truth is they were extremely lucky for Inter to get this far, it should have been Barcelona vs PSG

Its time for iranian youth to step up and flood EU clubs. They should all go on the cheap to low or mid table clubs and tear them up. Starting at Rio Ave is not that bad.
Truth is if we want iranian CL winners we need to send them to euro. Imagine if Taremi went earlier. Its always the same: Karimi joining late, Daei, Taremi etc.
Only player that went relatively young was mahdavi kia and he had a solid carreer. Taremi would have played 3 finals being one of our best players ever.

Once we have scouts and academies linked with European clubs in the country, then there will be flood.

still you bring in a aging slow poke Darmian?? and useless B-rated player ASSlani and not a UCL vet like Taremi in that game situation..???Originally posted by The Realist View PostTaremi lost out his sub spot cos Bisseck injury. But frankly do you want to be part of this embarrassment?
sure they probably woulda lost the match regardless and but injecting Mehdi in as a False9 or AM of sort and a switch to 3412 certainly woulda helped to stabilized their MF/D an coulda well made em look more competitive in the final stretches than getting totally fkn steamrolled all over the pitch in such an embarrassing fashion..!!

barca had zero defense and shaky keeper .... they probably woulda gotten easily beat too in a game like today but perhaps scored a couple of goals of their own..!! to save some face..!Originally posted by fairplay View PostThe truth is they were extremely lucky for Inter to get this far, it should have been Barcelona vs PSG

If I was an Iranian teenager in Iran realistically I dont know where the ambition would come in right now. In countries where merit is rewarded it makes sense. In Iran you are taught differently.Originally posted by AGC View PostIts time for iranian youth to step up and flood EU clubs. Right now your chance of being part of TM is bigger playing for Persepolis or Esteghlal than for teams in Belgium. Thats what they see.
You get paid more in Iran for blasting balls into the sky randomly than by hustling in training in a strange European country.
Given the terrible situation of Iran's economy, its also much easier to go to UAE and secure a future and eat at Rivas daily than go somewhere else and get paid less.
If Iran was open and had deals with European teams it becomes easier. We are where we are because of the current situation and will continue to stagnate unless expectations are raised.
The absolutely crazy part of it all is that average players are given entire TM careers for life over Iranian taarof norms. Members here joke about players playing in their 40s and its because our dumb coach made it this way.
Why would a kid go to Europe if he has no chance of cracking TM over a 10 yr span?Last edited by perspolis#1; 05-31-2025, 03:02 PM.

Fair enough. Damn you Mehdi 🤣Originally posted by fairplay View PostAt the end we were deprived of a much better final between PSG and Barcelona, it was also Taremi's fault for the header and pass for the 4-3 LOL__________________________________________________ ________________________________________
