During the Gulf war, Iraqis were escaping into Jordan by the many thousands... Jordanians were already dealing with a million Palestinians and not happy about a large load of Iraqis. Some animosity developed there....then also Jordan was the ally of Saddam...more animosity. Jordanians were profiting from the Iraqi diaspora and expel people too, some during Saddam reign. Regional rivalry, Shiite Sunni thing, Jordan has been a lackey of America...Jordan doesn't have oil so has had to find innovative ways to make money...some to the detriment of Iraqis. Many reasons..
