All I know is he was arrested in 2020 or 2021 in a prostitution case. He is not a clean guy off the field. He was hand picked to make sure Argentina wins the world cup.

His game was the best refereed game I've watched so far while also being the hardest game to referee.

I just realized that if England and France goes to the Final, 3 of the main candidates will be eliminiated. Clément Turpin, Anthony Taylor and François Letexier. So the most possible candidates for the final would be Faghani and Szymon Marciniak. Then the upside would be that Szymon Marciniak got World Cup Final 2022 in Qatar.

And thank God, François Letexier had a bad game last night between Egypt and Argentina so regardless, France advance to the final or not, he wont be a candidate I think.

Fek nakonam Webi jan. No way they select the Final candidate in this stage. Fifa monitors their performance until semifinal before they decide. Even though if they would decide who will be the final candidate, they won't revile same day as the final.

That whiney baby Tuchel called the referee "not good enough" based on the red card England received!

To his defence, he was mostly complaining on the fourth referee and VAR team that contained 3 from South America.

I thought ARF did great job.

Faghani was amazing. He was in control the whole time. May have gotten one or two close corner and throw in calls wrong but it's extremely difficult to see all of those the first time and it's better to not to dwell on those and hold up the game and just move on anyway so he did the right thing even on those types of calls. All in all, he made the correct call on every single crucial decision including the red card and two PKs.

Compare his level of officiating to say the France vs Paraguay ref (awful) or many other refs and he was head and shoulders above many refs in the tourney so far. He made a legit case to officiate in the semi's or the Final.
