My main concern is with GN's team choices. I think with a better team and coach, we could have won the tournament no matter who we played against. It's important to use younger players and change the team around in a tournament. So, not playing our best players in the last group match doesn't really matter. Even if we had won, it would have been good for our young players to get experience. Players like Hazbavi, Hosseinnejad, and Allahyar should have played in that game. But we played with our full squad and Moharrami gets injured - you risk that.

I completely agree with you. GN made a huge mistake not taking Hazbavi and Hosseinnejad and Sayadmanesh. Instead the genius decided to take a 36 year old Ebrahimi and 2 useless attackers like Moghanlou and Asadi. Hosseinnejad was an absolute must because if Saman gets injured we are finished. We have no other play maker . That alone proves that he is not very bright.

But the real blame is on another another Bozo, Taj for appointing him as head coach.

My point was that if you are going to win the cup you should do it with honor and dignity, so because of that I fully support the decision GN and his technical staff made about not losing against UAE on purpose..

It's because we use stars over and over (or garbage players like Moghanlou sometimes) that we rely so much on our stars.
GN sent Yousefi in the stands against Uae while it would have been the perfect game to give him playing time. If something happens to Rezaeian, he will throw him against Japan?

Playing a full young team is a huge mistake anywhere in the world. You need a mix of old, middle, youngs

A team with Mahdavikia, Ali Karimi, Yazdani, Nekounam, Jamshidi and other great players lost to Bahrain and Lebanon in 2000 olympic qualification. We don't coach right at that age - AT ALL. And they had a German coach too!
