Tell me one job where your performance via results does not matter? You are hired to perform a duty and obtain results. If CQ is not responsible for any outcomes then what is his job as NT coach? What did we hire him for?

I assumed everything he did as coach was to help TM win..achieve results...???

Sure I do. Yemen coach has the same objectives as France coach...why else play football? Also don't forget Iran was Asia's number 1 team. Did we really live up to those expectations? If that wasn't the point then why fire Skocic and bring CQ? Then goal was to improve right?

CQ quoted Mandela in saying we don't lose we only learn. What did we learn under CQ? If you perpetually end up with same results and outcome then you are a perpetual loser who hasn't learned anything...you learn in order to become better...to improve.

About the "lose to learn and improve thing", yes in theory, but football mostly isn't linear. Germany suddenly crashed and 4 years after failed again. And it's germany. WC22 group stage showed it too : for a lot of teams : 1st game was good then 2nd was bad and then 3rd was good (or vice versa). Football is full of high and low.

About TM, it seems we are judging it as if we were another NT and country we aren't. All the asia number 1 thing was BS. Like the US was never 12st in the world before the WC and such things.
Our federation is incompetent, we have no relation with the big footballing countries, our country is in shamble, our pool of players is inferior to all WC participant, except Qatar, costa rica maybe. Out of this mess ans context where everything is against us, how do you expect us to do better than what we did in 2014, 2018, 2022?
Of course, we can debate about players and if and or, but our results are just on par or even slightly better than our terrible state.

Unlike in 2006 where our stars underperformed and our IPL amateur players around didn't step up, CQ could have some random IPL players to step up to WC level (Pooladi among best WC LB in 2014, Ebrahimi/Amiri in 2018, Jalali and Rezaeian in 2022).

I don't rate cq very highly. So I would be willing to give the job to Kateb's great aunt (KGA khanoom). All jokes aside...look at some of the names in the ipl. Skocic came from there and gave us a miracle qualification....why not give another foreign ipl coach a chance. We don't have to marry a coach. Cq was TM coach for too long. Things got stale and unconvincing shortly after 2014.

Skocic was working in Iran football for many years, I think it helped him a lot do to better than expected.
The 3 other foreigners are in Iran since some months ago, are not doing really well and I suspect them to do like Locadia/Stramma soon.

Sang moft gonjishk moft. We know what CQ has to offer. No risk no reward, enough playing it safe with a has been coach using 1990s football strategy.

Many of you didn't even think CQ would come in first place let alone for another stint in 2022. I'm sure some young talented coach wants to prove himself. This is were we need to look. Find an up and commercial. Skocic had a lot of incentive and did it for 1/5 CQ salary. We can find others.

CQ in 2011 wasn't that young, worked in lot of exotic countries before, sanctions weren't that bad, currency and economy better, did have spectacular red alert every year like we have since Trump time

We will have to wait and see. Right now unfortunately seems like IFF and IRGC crook Taj want their yes man CQ in charge. Once he abandons them as has been his tendency I'm sure other options will come up. Time and circumstances will tell.

But calling his cups failiure are braindead arguments. 2014 was a success in it self to even get there, we made some good games aswell. 2 good games played. 2018 4 pts in that group cant be called failiure. 3 good games played. No success but def not failiure. 2022 with all around TM cant call it success neither failiure. Definately dissapointment but not failiure. And he had like a month or two.

The only ones that failed were iff during ex president shahkar majedi and TM managemt during that period, aka sko and estili and tot. But that seems to be forgotten.

2014 WC: Group stage exit
2015 AC: QF exit
2018 WC: Group stage exit
2019 AC: SF exit
2022 WC: Group stage exit

Those are the results people remember, not 1-2 good games here and there.

IFF failed with both Skocic & CQ, not only Skocic.

Since when a NT coach that see a player 2 weeks every 2 months can develop him like the club coach that see him every day?

Just look at the opponents that eliminated us…. Bosnia, Iraq, Japan, US… Only Portugal was a really difficult one. And I think there was only 2 players from the first four that were considered even close to ‘world class’ at some point in their careers - Dzeko and Pjanic. And then look the coaches who beat him… I wouldn’t even give my own child as many chances as some want to give Queiroz. Enough is enough.
