Tm coach is secondary at the moment. For the first time I am ok with a domestic coach (except someone like golmo or majidi too much into the PP/SS bs).

Top priority is to enhance our pool of players and get them the best transfer possible. If we are stuck with a squad of IPL/qsl plus some aek Athens/charleroi we won't go anywhere even with Guardiola or Ancelotti

In 1978 we were in the final 16 which is the equivalent of getting out of the first round in a field of 32 which is worth at least 4 points so the without the CQ score board should read at least 9 points and a very different goal difference. Apples to apples!

But my dad and grand PA teach me so much
about 1970s iran football ,I probably know more than the people actually lived through it, and boy
what a great players 1970s had,, ONLY IF WE HAD CQ BACK THEN we would of made the 1970, and 1974 wc.
it's a shame we had only 1 wc appearance from 1930 to 1978,
only if cq had those players

I guess CQ will continue but its the first time in my life i think that i even would test an iranian coach since i see so many teams succed with own coaches....some succesfull morrocan/arab coach who played in europe all their life also great to give a chance, why not ?

Why not? Because the example of local coach succeeding with their NT is mainly because their players squad is full of euro based players (some in top clubs).

Frank O'Farrell is worth a million CQs. Guess dad and Grandpa didn't teach you everything about 70s football.

We won 3 Asian cups fro 68-76. Cq could only dream of doing that...not to mention back then WC featured half the teams so only the truly talented teams made it. Making it to 1978 was huge success!
