Agreed, we need an attack-minded coach with a similar resume as CQ.

Dragan Skocic tried, but he was simply not good enough, had no authority and the players didn’t respect him (weak resume).

Herve Renard would be my first choice. What about you?

I think we go for someone in Asia given we are planning for AC. Moryashi of Japan, Halilhodzic who coached Japan before Moryashi, Renard are all good options. Realistically I don't think any would come to Iran...so why not someone like Berdyev who now has some experience working in Iran?

Berdyev is ultra defensive. Makes CQ look like Tite.

Vahid would get killed by the players. He can't manage personalities. I like him alot though.

I'm not too stressed actually. Just someone who can handle personalities and get buy in from players.

I am more concerned with us fixing our football from the grassroots level. That's what needs to happen.

As I said before, no well known foreign coach will take the job, may be a charlatan character like Wilmots, but no reputable coach.

I also do not want an Iranian coach as IR will have too much leverage on them and their families.

If CQ is stupid enough to renew, let him have it until the more important issues are addressed.

More like if iff is stupid enough to offer a failed coach a 6th chance let him have it. If we are thinking CQ then just go with Berdyev. Cheaper too!

Hasn't happened since our first WC in 1978. Doubtful it will happen anytime soon. Gotta work with what we have unfortunately.

Inflated results. Cq fooled us all to celebrate losses. Doesn't matter I've always maintained a loss is a loss. We need to stop drinking the CQoolaide. Time to move on. Anyone but CQ will do at this time.
