at that point it’s a mental readiness check. To make sure players get out of goshad mode.

If we actually get one of these matches sorted out, it's great, finally a really big test for us before world cup....but of course we end up playing this match at a not-so-ideal time!Originally posted by BacheLot View Post
We'd be lucky to get one of those over the line ..!!
the only reason im even holding a bit hope for that one is that both these opponents see us as a good prep game opponent for their WC group stage ..!
if it pans out it'll likely be the Portugal ...!
So close to the world cup and we don't have time to fix the issues that are sure to be exposed from this match.
Oh well... Guess we can't complain considering our usual crappy friendly opponents... I just hope it doesn't ruin our confidence heading into the competition.
Imagine a 4-0 beating from Portugal right before our first match. 😬

He is a one hit wonder , he played good as a 19 against Al halil and got everyone excited , but he is horrible , go watch the recently esteghal game he makes 100 mistakes , gets beat twice in the goal estheglal scored , he had zero pace 0% speed zero , go look back at the highlights of the Al husseni Jordan team scored a goal the guy just jogged passed him ,Originally posted by Kian Persepolis View Post

I’ve been told the federation won’t contact Bishesari unless he publicly says he wants to represent Iran. The same happened with Ghoddos and Eckert. Once they spoke publicly about Team Melli, the federation reached out. We need an interview through people with a big platform.

It seems like IFF will only select one of them only. Spain wants June 2nd and Portugal wants June 4th. Logistics make it hard to do both (not enough rest)Originally posted by aria32 View Posthttps://www.tasnimnews.com/en/news/2...endly-spox/amp
According to Tasnim, Iran is playing Portugal and Spain in June friendlies. Only source that has confirmed them is on the Iranian side (which I don’t trust). Can’t find any Portuguese/Spanish media covering this. Does anyone know if these matches are legit? If so, they would be huge for our teams preparation.

I'll answer this since I follow Sepahan. Basically he peaked too early and stagnated into an average CB. He's still one of the best in Iran in headers, but his football IQ is not very good. Gets caught out or gives a really bad touch here and there. Lets hope he can turn it around.Originally posted by Kian Persepolis View Post

In terms of young CB in Iran the only 3 names that should be talked about right now are Zare, Eiri, and Fallah (recently found good form)

It doesn’t!
Possible other options beside Kanani are:
1.Majid: mistake prone
2. PAG: not the shadow of what he used to be!
3. Zare: decent but lack experience for big stage games
4. Nemati: sooti!!
5. Fallah: lack consistency

Zare and Eiri should be our NTs CB partnership. I honestly can't believe Zare hasn't played a single minute in TM! He's been starting regularly for his club against teams like Zenit, CSKA, Rubin Kazan, etc!Originally posted by Iran_19 View Post

Both shoja and Janni are brainless and not at the level were they can concentrate for 90 minutes they either giving up a penalty or get a red ,
As a team Melli we need someone super fast in the Center back position someone with pace , that can recover
I don’t even know if that player exists in Iran football , but

Shoja is an a$$ no doubt about and honestly i don’t want such a character in TM, neither Kanani but on the field and performance wise he is still one of our best D. No wonder any coach in last 15 years other than CQ(and we all know it was not football related) invited him to TM and had him as starter!
despite being not that tall he is winning lots of air battles. His first pass for iranian standard defenders are quite good. His reading of the game is great, obviously as an offensive deffense man who likes to push forward he takes some risks which will cost him sometimes!
he is kind of unique D with his style of play, that is why at 36 he is still around! And the fact that we don’t develop not many decent D is not helping either!
people judgement usually influenced with his shitty off field attitude
