Sosha Makani Sacked by Persepolis

Tasnim – TEHRAN, Persepolis goalkeeper Sosha Makani was sacked on Friday.

Makani was left out of the starting XI for Rah Ahan match.

He was a member of the Iranian football team in Team Melli’s training camp in Europe, where Carlos Queiroz’s men played two friendlies against Chile and Sweden.

“We decided to rest him for the match against Rah Ahan since he had returned from the training camp but he left the team. From now Makani has no place in Persepolis until I am in charge of the team,” Persepolis coach Hamid Derakhshan said after his team’s 2-2 draw against Rah Ahan on Friday.

Persepolis will face Al Nasr of Saudi Arabia in AFC Champions League group stage on Wednesday.
