Hajsafi breaks Iran’s all-time appearance record with 150th cap
ISNA – KAZAN, Iranian national football team defender Ehsan Hajsafi has become the country’s most-capped player in history after making his 150th international appearance during a friendly match against Russia.
Hajsafi came on as a substitute in the 27th minute of the match to reach the milestone of 150 international caps.
With this achievement, the veteran defender surpassed former captain Javad Nekounam, who held the previous record with 149 caps, officially cementing his status as Iran’s all-time appearance record holder.
