Osasuna draw Mallorca [VIDEO]
PFDC – PAMPLONA, Javad Nekounam came on after 40 minutes when Osasuna were trailing 0-1 to Mallorca in La Liga on Saturday, but despite Osasuna turning the tides, a late penalty cost them two points.
Nekounam, still not fully fit, was introduced shortly before halftime and Raul Garcia’s first of two goals which seemed to give Osasuna a 2-1 victory.
Depsite Mallorca being reduced to 10 men in second half, a late penalty kick levelled the game.
Nekounam will now travel to Iran to captain Team Melli in a friendly match against Palestine and the World Cup qualifier against Bahrain.
His countrymate Masoud Shojaei is still sidelined injured.
