ADIB Cup: Ghandipour assists winner against Hatta in thrilling draw [VIDEO]

Voiceofemirates.com – HATTA, The match between Hatta and Shabab Al Ahli ended in a 2-2 draw today at Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Stadium, as part of the first round of the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) Cup.

Hatta asserted its dominance in the first half and managed to take the lead just minutes before the break through Firas Ben Larbi, who capitalized on a fast counterattack by finishing with a low shot that found the back of the Shabab Al Ahli net.

Shabab Al-Ahli entered the second half seeking an equalizer, which they achieved in the 64th minute through Cartabia, before Hatta regained the lead in the 81st minute with an own goal.

Shabab Al-Ahli did not give up and continued to press in the final minutes; substitute Joao Marcelo managed to equalize in the 85th minute following an back heel assist from Reza Ghandipour that ended with the ball in the back of Hatta’s net.

With this result, each team earned a point at the start of its campaign in the Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) Cup competition.
