Tehran Times – MESAIMEER, Former Persepolis captain Mohammad Nouri, who joined Qatari side Al-Mesaimeer this summer, has shown interest to return to the Iranian popular team.

“The club and the coach are happy with my performances but unfortunately we have got the poor results so far in Qatar Stars League and our team sits at the bottom of the table,” Nouri told Varzesh 3.

“I had the dream of playing for Persepolis since I was a child and I am so happy to play for them for more than five years. I hope I can return to Persepolis but there are a couple of games left until the half of the season in Qatar Stars League and we have to wait until then. Persepolis is always the club of my heart and I would love to play for the Reds again,” the 32-year old midfielder added.

Nouri joined Persepolis from Saba in the summer of 2010 and played there for five years. He has scored 27 goals in 138 appearances for Persepolis. He was also the top scorer of Persepolis in 2010–11 season.
