Iran to Play Sweden in Friendly in March, Official Says

Tasnim, TEHRAN – The Iranian national football team will play a friendly match with Sweden in March 2015.

“We’ve reached an agreement with the Swedish Football Association to play a friendly with the team at the end of March,” Mehdi Mohammad Nabi, the general secretary of Iran Football Federation, said.

Team Melli will also play South Korea in a friendly ahead of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup.

Iran has been pitted against the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Bahrain in Group C of the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, which will be held in Australia from January 9 to 31.
