Regarding doping they do scan tests even years after the olympics. The Sports our country Excel in are PED infested. I mean look at Hasan Yazdanis american opponent. Personally I suspect he is on some form of artificial enhancements. His strenght reminds me of Taymazovs. Also he is a skilled wrestler on top of that. if his tests come out positive you heard it here first. Everyone totally gasses against him. In a freakish way not normal in the sport. And his PT is that Calavitta guy......
DISCLAIMER: Not saying he is roided but the way he is built should raise suspicion. My bet is that he will fall a PED test this or coming years as olympics testing procedures are far more rigorous than in worlds.

How about other good weightlifters that we have in Iran? That is what I meant by other weight lifters.
So, No chance of medals in weightlifting!!

Richarlison scored three goals. What a player. He also plays as a forward for Everton in EPL.
No chance for us in Weightlifting. We have two in 109 and 109+. In these categories, there are world record holders.
No information for our other Weightlifters.

Here are all the Iranian athletes participating in Tokyo. It's displayed by date, so you can follow all the hamvatan action each day they compete. Good luck Iran and Iranian athletes!
*Note: I don't see certain sports listed (ie wrestling/weight lifting). I believe those will be updated soon.

i was a big kurt angle fan in my wwe watching days, kurt still says jadidi is the best he's ever faced and gives him all the credit for that match as well.Originally posted by Babak500 View Post@Navid,
regarding wrestling. It seems we often have a hard against Japanese wrestlers in the past! Bad also in terms of corrupt referee decisions.
I remember Salimi and Abdevali. Salimi got robbed by one of our "Iraqi brothers" lol.
But man remember Abbas Jadidi 1996? Big robbery back then.

I would never forget that match. We were watching it with the whole family. He was up 14-13, he attacked twice and hit the opponent. But they gave 2 points in a row to the American. I think you can find the game online. Fencing points should become completely electronic to avoid these robberies.Originally posted by Babak500 View Post@Navid,
wow did not know Abedini also got robbed! I remember watching that game, but can not recall refereeing robbing. Thanks for the reminder.

Yep, Japanese are coming this year to win a lot of gold in wrestling and we don't match up well against them. Hasan Rahimi in Rio lost an almost certain gold by underestimating the Japanese guy. We usually get robbed the most against Russia, Korea and Azerbaijan.Originally posted by Babak500 View Post@Navid,

Salimi getting robbed was so painful. I stayed up till 4am to watch him get robbed by that fking Iraqi and his wife.
Another one that year was semi-final of fencing against USA. Abedini was 1 point away from historic fencing medal and the refs didn't give two clean hits of his.
Oh man I was just thinking about Jadidi's match. Biggest robbery in history. It was so blatant that I still carry the trauma having watched that match as a very young person on that early morning.

1. Be ready for them. I have lost count of how many times we got robbed in the Olympics. On top of my head most recently Reza Yazdani, Abdevali and Salimi in Rio. It will happen again this year unfortunately.Originally posted by Babak500 View PostSeveral more issues:
1. Hopefully no bad/suspect referee decisions against us. This has happened to much to Iran in the past.
2. Are there Israelis competing against us in any discipline? Could we face any of them?
3. Lack of mental strength in key moments. We missed to many medals because of that.
4. Possible doping cases of our opponents. Are they stricter this time around? It seems to be, since they immediately kicked our Karate athlete out.
2. Not really. There aren't any Israelis in men's Wrestling and Taekwondo this year. There is one in weightlifting +109 but since it is not a 1 on 1 match we should be fine. The only "Iranian" who will likely face Israeli would be Saeid Molaei in Judo.
3. It will happen again. It destroyed us in Taekwondo last time.
4. The technology is much more advanced now. But I am sure some eastern Europeans will get away with it and then lose their medals in the future!Last edited by _Navid_; 07-20-2021, 12:05 PM.
