They can certainly take place without crowds (which would be a shame, that's the whole point of the Olympics). But, it's better than canceling the Olympics. With the testing/vaccination regimen already in place for athletes, it can be done in a bubble, with pre-testing, quarantine, and frequent testing during the competitions.

Our team will get to go against the best in the world and get the exposure for doing so. Plus it will be the group most scouts will be attending/watching. If any Iranian players can show their skills (even with a loss), it could be chance for them to move to Europe/NBA. Go Iran!

True. That's another way of looking at it. Our main stars Haddadi, Samad and Arsalan (if invited) are 30+ already. Let's hope the younger guys like Jamshidi, Yakhchali and Mashayekhi can get noticed.
