We beat Malaysia 7/3 and finished 2nd of the division 4 for our first participation!
The first (Kirghizstan) move to division 3

All the teams we played were ranked between n51 and 54 in the world. Iran was unranked before the tournament

Honestly, I don't even know how Canadians can justify this sport. I know there are people who send their kids (elementary and high school aged) to private hockey schools year round for tuition fees of $50,000 plus!
They're even making soccer expensive here.
Ice hockey (and tennis, less expensive than Ice hockey) should be developed as this :
    - build ice rink in big cities (several in Tehran). Each ice rink would have an home club. The home club would participate in a local league.
    - reduce costs for people, each club will buy equipment and loan them at a good price to their players if needed
    - broadcast NHL and world championship instead of some useless sports on shabake varzesh
    - try to get some Iranian expat to help and teach in these clubs.

Ofcourse they would put that picture in (I'm surprised they didn't put the chador lady walking past the former US embassy with the skull-faced lady liberty as well!). Otherwise, she is a very attractive young lady. Good luck to her!

    Did Jordan made a complaint?
Yes, they have accused our women's team of using hockey sticks made of rare earth metals, given our team super natural powers. The Jordanian prince will make a formal press briefing on his findings soon.
