Quite promising news from ice hockey league, curling league that started recently, ice skating.. Winter Olympics 2026 may be too soon but we may have some presence in 2030

Iran Crowned Champion of 2024 IIHF Women's Asia & Oceania Cup
Iran’s national team beat the Philippines 4-0 to win the 2024 IIHF Women's Asia and Oceania Cup on Saturday.
Team Melli Banovan won the title without conceding a single goal.
The Iranian women had defeated the UAE 16-0, Kyrgyzstan 6-0 and India 10-0 at the Gorodskoi Katok in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The 2024 IIHF Women's Asia and Oceania Cup is an international women's ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).
This edition of the tournament took place from March 24 to 30 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
The tournament followed a single round robin format.

I think there is interest but the sport is pretty new in Iran, infrastructure are expensive and not a lot in the countryOriginally posted by Nokhodi View Post
Gap is very big it seems still. I thought we would have a lot of half decent Iranian hockey players in Sweden, but Iranians are not really interested in hockey, even less than the other sports.
