discus throw doesnt work like this. they are like 30 something athletes und you must be in top 12 in order to advance for finals.

The Iranian Mahmoud Samimi threw 56.94. That was not enough to make it to the finals, so he's out.

Ehsan Hadadi hasn't started yet.

Leyla Rajabi (originally from Belarus, but represents Iran now) has just made her first attempt: 16.18. That is not good. She needs to try better in her remaining attempts.

If you get married to an Iranian man, and live in Iran its apparently very straight forward.

There are MANY foreign women who are married to Iranians BUT they are not given Iranian citizenships. Several of them who I know even lived in Iran, one more than ten years, but she kept her American nationality. So it is not straight forward or automatic.
