If Hasebe is a starter and Dejagah a sub, then why the he'll would they let Hasebe go and force Dejagah to stay. I would have done it the other way around, which seems to be more logical. So there could be 3 things happening here.

    1. This whole story is BS and Dejagah wasn't going to play for Iran in the first place (in the AC atleast).
    2. The JFF managed to take their player from Wolfsburg, where the IRIFF failed to do so, as them being a weaker Federation.
    3. Somehow IR changed it's mind and refused Dejagah for the obvious reasons.

Its Wolfsburg that says no, Not Ashkan.... PFDC news this time is like Khabar varzeshi, there is no source where he has said no.

Just drop the kid for good, he's never had the heart and passion to play for TM, his first priority was Germany's national team, once he was assured that he has no business playing for Germany's NT he realized his best option is TM, and now that TM may jeopardize his club situation (Which BTW I highly doubt it, cuz if he is good enough for his club, the coach won't risk losing him) he is turning his back on TM yet again.

Playing for your country's national team is a huge privilege and honor, nothing is more fulfilling and joyous in any sports to play for your country. I for believe playing for TM is more divine and obligatory than doing military services, because every single person can serve his/her country as a soldier, however not every individual may be able to represent his/her country in an reputable and acceptable level!

He doesn't wanna play for TM? So be it, we got many good alternatives for that position. Long live Iran and Iranians who love being an Iranian!

Ashkan Dejagah = Biggest flake of the Iranian Football history

Shouldn't he or the stupid IFF know this over a month ago? Beside if we are talking FIFA days what business does the club have to keep him there and no one else? I don't like this - Oh no.

I guess, Dejagah exemplifies the curse of not knowing what you want... I hope this is now a once-for-all decision. Iran shouldn't be lobbying Ashkan anymore.

that's the problem, hasebe is playing the same position as dejagah, ashkan would have been his replacement...
