We all saw what happened to Real Madrid when Casillas was going through a rough patch (and he got his groove back in the Clasico ). Barca does rely on Messi a lot, he's definitely the most creative edge in the squad. I mean there must be a trigger for these ridiculous scorelines week in week out. What team on earth is scoring goals like Barca is right now? Messi is definitely the spark plug for this team and I hope we develop a creative backup for him. You know Barca went without the services of both Eto'o & Messi for months during the season that got decided on head to head. Clearly Barca still had the quality to compete. I know you're going to come up and say oh Ronaldinho kept you in it. Well guess what, Deco & Ronnie overshadowed Xavi when they were here and now after their departure Xavi became a contender for POY. It's all about who's going to step up. The whole team is stepping up right now.

couldnt agree with you more. Messi is definitely a spark plug as you call it when it comes to creativity with his dribbling and ability to unsettle any defence. then again I would say Xavi is as much of a creative spark plug, I noticed it when we were playing against Espanyol in the Copa del Rey. this season he has been quiet and not on top form but yesterday he showed again why he's considered a great talent.

wish pep uses him more often in the league cuz this player cant stay on the bench and he will move from barca to somewhere he can get consistent playing time.
